| C Co., 1st Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division, approached a village on the Bong Son plain during Operation Pershing. The night before they had been in a firefight at the village. As they approached in the morning they tripped mines. Three soldiers were wounded and one was killed. Here the dead soldier is being loaded into Huey helicopter Medevac. |
